How To Apply
Your
research experience in Cuba is just a few steps away! If you are
interested apply as soon as possible to save your spot - Space on this
trip is limited!
Step 1: Interest Inquiry Online Submission Period: March 1-April 25
- If you are interested in participating in a research trip,
download and complete
the Interest Inquiry Form on this link.
- Save the completed Interest Inquiry Form with your last name followed by your first name in the title. Example: "SmithJohn_InterestInquiry". Send it to us as an attachment via email, or contact us for other options if you are unable to do so.
- Make sure you have selected the dates you want to travel, the categories you fit into (student, musician, etc,), and answered the additional questions about your interests.
- Once we receive and screen your Interest Inquiry Form, we will send you a welcome/thank you note to confirm receipt. You will receive a response from a program consultant, either encouraging you to apply, explaining the regulations and why you wouldn't qualify, and/or requesting additional information.
- After April 25, all Interest Inquiries must be submitted by phone

Step 2: Submission of Application and Resume/CV
Late Submission Period: May 1-12
(starting May 1, all submissions will be subject to a Rush Fee of $4/day after April 30)

- Prepare your Resume/CV. Please feel free to email Kira to request a sample to follow.
- Submit a draft of Application and Resume/CV for review and consultation. Most people need assistance with filling out the application properly. Don't worry--that's what we are here for!/li>
Step 3: $200 deposit due to Marazul, along with complete, signed Application Packet
Submission Period: May 1-16
- Be sure to complete all revisions and sign your name on pages 3-6 before submitting packet.
- Contact Kirenia to arrange for submission by fax, internet, mail or other method.
Step 4: Pay in full to Marazul
Submission Period: May 16-30
- Once application is accepted, you will receive further trip information, and an invoice.

Step 5: May 1-June 30
- Prepare research goals, pack and go.
- Attend an informational meeting
- Optional: take preparatory dance workshops
Step 6: Post trip, usually within 2 months following the trip
- Participate in the Report-Back and share your research with the community.
- Learn about other dance and music research opportunities!
Eligibility: Full-time professionals in their field of research are able to participate in this program. Undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to participate as long as they are enrolled in a degree program at a university or college and they will be receiving credit for their participation in this program. Please note that the regulations are being changed at this time, so additional categories may be available in the future. If you have any questions, please contact us.
