PROJECT CUBA In Providence RI !
Mambo Pa Ti Dance Studio @ 948 Charles St. North Providence, RI
February 11, 2012 @ 5:00pm
For the first time ever, join MetaMovements and Mambo Pa Ti as they come together to bring you an amazing evening of dancing that will expand your knowledge of salsa and its origins. This event will bring together salseros from across New England and beyond, and will highlight the amazing talent and passion that Providence has to offer!
Taking these classes will allow you to deepen your understanding of the history and practice of moves that originated in Cuba, and how they evolved into the contemporary Salsa we dance today. You will also learn body movement and sequences of steps from Cuban and Hip Hop styles that will add some flavor to your dancing.
Whichever style you dance, whatever your current level is, it's time to break new ground!
Don't miss this unique experience to learn about Cuba in a whole new way. We are thrilled to be collaborating with Ray F Davis and Jay Salsa again, and also to include Mambo Pa Ti Dance Company. This salsa celebration is part of our on-going tribute to Cuba and its essential historical contributions to the world of Latin dance and music.
In addition to workshops, we will hold a FREE Expo and Info Session where you can learn more about traveling to Cuba and hear about past experiences. During this time there will be opportunities to learn about the new US-Cuba Travel Regulations and how you can travel to Cuba legally.
We know you will be hungry after working up a sweat dancing so there will be food and beverages on sale! Proceeds will go to Mambo Pa Ti's Semi-Pro Team Fund.
Transform Your Dancing. Learn The History.
You will also learn more about on-going Cuban dance and music classes happening in your city (including Providence, NYC, NJ, Boston & DC and others). And you can join us online anytime at RootsOfSalsa.com and Dance & Music Research in Cuba on Facebook, for unique articles, testimonials, travel opportunities, photos and videos of dance, music and other Cuban cultural experiences being added regularly.
