Anara Frank

Director, Dancer & Instructor

Anara Frank leads the MetaMovements Artists Collective and has trained thousands of dancers in the U.S., Caribbean, and beyond in a variety of Latin and Modern dance styles. Anara is also an accomplished gymnastics and fitness coach, known for her unique ability to help each person set and achieve their individual training goals while simultaneously advancing as a team.

Javier Jeffer

Dancer, Musician &Instructor

Javier Jeffer Cumbrera, born in Havana, began dancing and singing at a young age, with his passion for dance always supported by his parents. He trained at the Fernando Alonso School and later at the Alejo Carpentier Dance School. By the age of 10, he was competing in national and international dance competitions, earning awards as both a dancer and choreographer.

We are so excited to announce that our MetaMovements Artist Collective Exchange Program is back with Javier Jeffer Cumbrera, a Cuban artist touring the United States through an artist visa program approved by the U.S. Department of State, and Anara Frank, an artist and Director of MetaMovements.

Their first stop on the tour is Boston!

For many years MetaMovements has collaborated with artists in Cuba and the Dominican Republic to bring travelers to their countries for authentic, immersive dance and music experiences. Through these travel programs, we build meaningful, lasting relationships across borders, which create positive ripple effects that impact not only our own lives, but our entire communities. Through our shared passion of music and dance, we all find joy, and we learn so much together, while simultaneously finding ways to make careers in the arts more sustainable everywhere.
