BOSTON ART & MUSIC SOUL (BAMS) Festival is one of the fastest growing urban arts and music festivals in the City of Boston that celebrates Afro-centric identity and Black artistry, all while amplifying the voices and creative contributions from local, regional and national entertainers of color. Mother, cultural activist, Founder & Executive Director, Catherine T. Morris, set out with a vision to create a festival that would provide equitable access and opportunity for marginalized audiences and artists of color to collectively experience high-quality live arts and music programming in Boston. Since its debut in June 2018, more than 8,500+ people have attended the summer annual event – Boston Art & Music Soul (BAMS) Festival, at the historic Franklin Park - Playstead Field.
