Schedule for events:

Since its inception, an explicit goal of MetaMovements has been to enhance the quality of life in Boston through the celebration of Latino arts and culture. We have done this by creating safe spaces and promoting healthy behaviors.

MetaMovements created Salsa In The Park in 2008 in direct response to community concerns regarding a spike in drug use and violence in the courtyard park area of the BCYF Blackstone Community Center at the time. Offering a community engagement solution, MetaMovements decided to offer an interactive outdoor, all-ages salsa dance experience in partnership with the Blackstone. Due to the pandemic and other changes, we were unable to continue offering this programming at the Courtyard. So we began to ramp up our mobile Salsa In The Park efforts to bring our programming to other cities across the Commonwealth! This summer, with the BCYF Blackstone Courtyard still holding a great piece of our hearts, we are so excited about partnering once again with the BCYF Blackstone to bring Salsa In The Park programming back to what many of us refer to as our home base :-)

Please contact us at epabon@metamovements.net for more information on the 4 week series, our events and if you can volunteer for the events (before or during)...
